ProGreen PGN3300 & PGN3600
ProGreen’s
PGN3300
& PGN3600
are the best synthetic turf products in the world for
golf.
Why is it the best? A national branded nylon fiber
is used (most companies use unbranded or recycled
nylon) and we use a new manufacturing process, which
we call the Dense Tufting method. This
provides a true non-directional surface. The best
for putting, proven by the pros. The ball roll is
identical to a country club putting surface!
|
It has many more advantages than
the typical sand filled golf greens.
The ball roll is truer and remains constant over
time, there’s more cushion, it never gets hard
and compacted, and never requires maintenance.
Its only downside is that it does not accept
long ball shots like sand filled green does,
which is not a problem for the majority of
putting green owners.
The extra crimp in the nylon called “spring set”
actually adds about 100% more to the crush proof
factor. Carefully examine the other nylons and
see how much extra crimp our nylon has.
The nylon crimp looks like a small spring. |
 |
|
What’s this
mean to a golfer? The ball roll is truer, the
ball speed (stimp speed) will maintain constant
for a very long period of time, it has a more
‘cushioned feel’ and there is absolutely no
maintenance! (because sand does not play a
factor). |
|
Nylon
is soft, but tough.
It will not crush and if it does the crush, marks will bounce
back. PGN3300 is the best golf turf in the world!
No ball indentations!
For
outdoors applications, very little silica sand is
required over the top, just enough to anchor the
turf down to the aggregate base. We recommend
50-mesh silica sand or finer. Use approximately 1.5
pounds per square foot, or about 1/8”. For indoors,
we recommend gluing the entire surface.
Here’s a look at the
ADVANTAGES and DISADVANTAGES of one of our best
selling sand filled products, PG4000 and our latest
nylon product, PGN3300.
